Renee Colwell Hutchinson
was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up in Buckhead. After school, she lived in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles before marrying a British national and living in Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, London and Lausanne, Switzerland. She and her husband traveled extensively in the Caribbean, Central and South America and Europe. After 15 years abroad, Renee returned to Atlanta and opened an interior design firm then went on to start a real estate career in 1999.
In the spring of 2003, she returned to London to obtain the prestigious Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) from the National Association of Realtors® to enhance her focus on the global market. Through her CIPS designation, she is a member of the International Who’s Who of International Real Estate and attends global events to enhance her knowledge of this market. Although not fluent, she has conversational skills in Spanish.
In 2007, Renee became an owner of one of the top competing brokerages in Buckhead. Renee was awarded a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation and qualified for the Multi-Million Dollar Sales Club. She is designated as an Accredited Relocation Specialist and an Accredited Staging Professional, which provides an unparalleled edge to competition when your home is ready to go on the market. The majority of her business is in Buckhead, where she has a strong network which enhances her ability to work with cultural diversity but with a local’s expertise.
She has also worked in many different areas of Atlanta on a wide range of projects including in commercial real estate. Renee spends as much time as possible with her son who is an architect in Los Angeles, friends and family, her three Maltese pups and practices yoga daily. She is always ready to travel for business or pleasure.
Renee also served on the board of the Ovarian Cancer Institute and chaired the “Pink Tie Ball” for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She is a member of the Royal Oak Foundation, which serves the National Trust in England and is a member of Northside Methodist Church where she grew up.
Renee is very enthusiastic about Atlanta as one of the most livable international cities in the world and working with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty which is undoubtedly the strongest, most respected, name in global real estate.
